
David Holroyd has been conductor of the Choral Society since 1991. He is Director of Music at Merchant Taylors’ School in Crosby. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Ronald Frost, Gillian Weir and John Bertalot.
Our accompanist is Richard Lea, also a Graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, having studied with Eric Chadwick and Gillian Weir. He is Organist and Assistant Director of Music at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, in Liverpool
Our President, is past-conductor, Stephen Threlfall, Director of Music of Chethams School, Manchester.
Chairman is Mike Fletcher, who as a tenor, falls victim to all the slander and vitriol poured their way during rehearsal. He also sings in St Peter’s Church Choir in Formby, with Amadeus: the Chamber Choir, and is a member of the Northern Cathedral Singers.
